How many of us nodded our head as we agreed with her in our minds?

An American friend who married a Japanese wife told me he’s seen Japanese bow when they answer the phone.

I nod my head in agreement with her.

It “helps” if things are loose inside (your cranium).

I do it. I admit. It’s just habit.

Sounds like my wife when she gives directions over the phone, she draws maps in the air, moves her hand to the right when advising to turn right, left when advising left, etc…. Of course I’m the same way. I pantomime turning on my phone and bringing up Google maps.

Actually, people can ‘hear’ when you smile on the phone…

She’s gotta point…

Sounds to me like she’s being just a little picky on this one. She just looking for a reason to criticize him.

Good thing they can’t see me rolling my eyes or screwing up my face…

If it rattles sideways why wouldn’t it rattle up and down?

Several years ago, I actually had two empty pop cans I filled differently (one clunked, the other rattled) to indicate nodding and shaking.
