When salons shut down for pandemic, husband wasn’t getting pedicures. Then he broke his arm and couldn’t put his socks on. When he asked for help I saw that he hadn’t cut his toenails for over a year. So ugly.

What’s wrong with his feet? Does he have nail fungus?

Is it the feet, or is it the nails? Because sometimes it the nails.

Unless it’s the direction of the toes. Or jammed-up toes.

Wear the right sized shoes, people! Gross!

The late great Sir Terry Pratchett, in the final Discworld book, noted that old men’s toenails are the hardest substance known to humanity; the little blue men known as the Nac Mac Feegle collect the clippings to use as weapons.

I have several “climbers toes” (toenail deformed because of much scrambling up and down steep, mountainous slopes). If they appeared in public, I’d be universally shunned.

    I’ve heard of foot-fetishists, but not foot-phobiacs.
