What did you expect, Red? Rover’s got to be rewarded for his good deed. He just took it in advance.

Wasn’t it Mark Twain who said that a dog teaches a boy love, loyalty, and how to turn around three times before lying down? And, wasn’t it “Murphy’s Law” that said, “Never trust a dog to guard your birthday cake” /

And I think it was “Garfield’s Law” that said “Never trust a cat to guard your lasagna.”

I think Rover must be an exceptionally good dog – my dogs would never have left the lettuce, carrot sticks, or cookie crumbs.

I’m not sure my dog would bring the bag back, either!
