Dad used to pay us kids a cent for every milkweed we pulled in the corn field. Boy were we gullible to fall for that!

Destiny 23Depends on when that was. At 10 seconds per milkweed, that’s $3.60 an hour, about twice minimum wage when I was a kid.

Some of us sound old and REAL old. I just picked them as quick as I could so I could go PLAY !!! But getting paid ??? Did Not Happen (insert mild bitterness here!).
