Whenever I visit my Dad, his Yorkie, after the obligatory Belly Rub, always gets a Milk Bone, brings it up on the couch, and makes a big deal out of keeping it from me. I’m supposed to try and get it two or three times and fail, then he accidentally lets me get it and act like I’m eating it, then give it back to him. It’s a big thrill to him- to both of us. I suspect a lot of it is that the two of us are interacting in a game he devised. He gets to pretend I am up to something and he “won”. I get to play with a dog who thinks I hung the Moon. One of the many reasons I love dogs…

Unless they bug you to play with them, when you don’t want to. Then they have an irritating nature. lol
