Red and Rover by Brian Basset for June 10, 2013
Transcript:
Red: Last full week of school! I can practically taste my freedom already! Rover: Easy, there, don't lose sight of the prize. Red: I haven't. Visions of staying up late, camping out in the backyard, swimming pools, fireflies and long, lazy naps under a big shade tree keep playing in my head. Rover: I meant your grades. Red: And everything I just mentioned rates an A+++++!

Maybe kids ought to write a paper the last week of school called “What I plan to do on my summer vacation” rather than making them write “What I did on my summer vacation” when they come back.

Maybe, but that’s not what the teachers will be grading you on…unfortunately.
