Red and Rover by Brian Basset for September 07, 2014
Transcript:
Whatcha doing? School work. Our class assignment is to write a 250 word essay on what we did over the summer. But you're drawing yours. That's not what your teacher wants. Technically, no, but if a picture can be worth a thousand words... How many words do you think my drawing of the frog we saw blowing snot bubbles at the pond is worth? Five hundred thousand gazillion million! Yes!! Oh, and the best part is, I can't get marked down for any misspellings!

Between the snot bubbles and Rover’s spit ball, we’re aiming at a million gazillion-million words!

I wonder if Red has an art class that he could use it for when it gets rejected by his literature teacher.

I love the details like Rover bringing a ball over and leaving it on the table.

I believe Sally in “Peanuts” submitted two pictures for a 2,000-word essay.

Looks like Red’s using the Crayola Crayons with 64 colours and sharpener included in the back of the box.

Red, you and Rover ought to get together with Calvin and Hobbes! ;)
