Rover, watch closely. Here is the church... Here is the steeple. Open the doors... And see all the people! Kind of a small congregation. On the contrary, attendance is way, way up. In fact, it is positively overflowing! Check out the church annex.

What a heartwarming Sunday morning memory: my Nana teaching me that – haven’t heard it in years. Thanks, Red. Like the add-on with the toes. Love you, boys…guess you’d better get ready for church.

The lower level (i.e. basement) church was always the most fun!

Interesting coincidence. As it turns out, I sat in on our church’s new member class this morning, and along with another church board member, gave a brief presentation on volunteer opportunities available…

Love Red and Rover brings back so many memories of my grandma and her dog, Sandy, he was a cocker spaniel who had his “own penny jar” and he’d tell when I took some to go to the corner candy store. My grandma talk me this also.

I don’t have kids, and those who do probably realize this better than me, but I’m always amazed when I see examples of the same little things every generation learns and passes down. We all thought they were original when we first learned them.

This is the second part of that rhyme.
“Close the doors and hear them pray. Open the doors and they all walk away.”
