Red: Man, you eat fast. Then again, you have thousands of years of biology working against you. Long before humans domesticated the wolf, pre-dog wolves had to fend for themselves. Which, I suppose, meant downing one's kill as quickly as possible before it could be dragged away. Rover: Did the food make its own gravy back then?

Dogs actually do digest their food better if it’s in large chunks.

I have a special bowl to feed my dog in, so he has to eat slow, otherwise, he throws it all back up in a few minutes. Many dogs don’t do well if they eat too fast.

Dogs can actually eat faster than wolves can.
