In the mid-60s I was in high school with a full-tilt uniform where saddle shoes were required for the first three years. As a senior you got to “grow up” and we could wear loafers. I never loved a pair of shoes so much, and I’m a shoe nut.

neverenoughgoldEvery state that seceded said, in their secession document, they reason was the preservation of slavery. Stop reading Texas textbooks and study real history. That would be a real rebellion.

Penny Loafers? Haven’t heard those words in YEARS! You realize how old we are here, right? LOL!

I think my favorite memory of going back to school, at least in my Catholic grade school was my new 64 count box of Crayola Crayons with the crayon sharpener in the back of the box every year and the smell of those crayons when you opened that box! Oh yes, and my new plastic pencil case each year! :-) Good times, good times!
