Who doesn’t remember their childhood Summer’s without memories like this, with fondness!!! My brothers and I always do. Especially our swimming hole!!!

Yup.Fishing was always about being with pop or my older brother.Now that they are gone, it no longer has the appeal that it had.

Why is it that looking at this strip today, I hear the theme song from the Andy Griffith show running through my head?

This reminds me of the McCutcheon picture “Indian Summer” I think it was called. Nice end of summer. Sniff!

this is touching many hearts today. No matter if your childhood wasn’t happy, if you had a good dog who loved you, that made up for so much.Any pet that you know loves you is great. A cat or even a pet rat or too.Rats are very loving and will lick you like a dog. they may groom your finger nails too.You just have to remember that your pet is a little person who trusts and loves you.Anytime you mistreat a pet it gets confused and very sad.the dog that is beaten will assume he is bad, even when he has done nothing wrong and will forgive you. But please treat any pet with gentleness and kindness and you will be repaid 1,000 X 1,000 times over.DOn’t know why I got on this topic, but seeing a loving boy and dog reminds me of one of the best times we ever get to enjoy.Bless all our long gone pets and the ones we have now.
