OH! I just remembered. We didn’t have any pie! Nothing at all for Dessert. It didn’t matter, we were all too stuffed with turkey.

Go ahead and take a chance on getting gas. As long as no one strikes a match, you should be good!

We had a potluck and most of the people brought desserts! Apple, apple crumble, pumpkin, grape, pumpkin cheesecake, sweet potato, pecan, some chocolate chip cookies and a FSM chocolate cake.

Here we had Pecan and Pumpkin pies and one more. Packed Gram Cracker Fruit cake, but not what you would expect, NO candied fruit.

Does anyone else make this?Home made with Crushed gram crackers, raisins, chopped maraschino cherries & pecans and coconut all held together with melted marshmallows & a stick of butter. Hand mixed and packed in a loaf pan, chilled not cooked. From Grandma in Mississippi.

We seldom had dessert right after dinner; that was saved to eat with the sandwiches [from leftover meat] that everyone ate in the late afternoon before heading home.

Dogs didn’t evolve to eat pumpkin pie.

But probably can. My parents planted more watermelon than they needed, just to enjoy coyotes spronging to break them open to eat. Don’t assume what canines have evolved to eat until you have done more research. Wild canines have a significant part of their diet in carrion, so rules are quite flexible.
