Red and Rover by Brian Basset for December 31, 2016
Transcript:
Red: Yippy skippy! We get to stay up past midnight tonight!! Rover: Don't forget what happened last New Year's Eve. You were fast asleep by ten o'clock and missed most of the fun. Red: Oh, Right, right. Then I'll take a nap beforehand! Can you be my alarm clock? Rover: Sure. But how will I know when to wake you? Red: When Mom brings out the little wieners wrapped in puff pastry!
I spent one New Year’s Eve cleaning out my storage closet. A great way to ring in the new year! I found some stuff in there that I had been looking for for months. And I started the new year with a neat, organized closet (it’s a mess again now. Not quite the Fibber McGee & Molly closet, but close enough. And no. I’m not old enough to remember that show from when it was on the radio. I have audio tapes of the old shows though) Now I usually have to work on New Year’s Eve and this year is no exception – I’m working until 11:00 PM. Happy New Year everyone!
