Ah the good old days of watching DC-7s and Constellations crawl across the skies toward the horizon! Almost all the jetliners passing over only have two engines so one can’t tell at that distance what they may be.
The comic says 2017, but 707s have not flown for years due to the poor performance of the engines.
I have always loved the gentle, steady drone of a prop-driven plane. Never cared much for the harsh roar of a jet.
Sometimes my parents would take me to the local airport to watch the jets take off and what a roar their engines made!
