I’ve often wondered what our dog dreamed about because it seemed pretty clear she was dreaming when she slept. Most of time it did seem like she was happy in her dreams which was oddly peaceful for me.
There was another strip on the theme of sleeping dogs lying in a similar way to this. In that one, Rover’s boasts included being able to dig a hole down to China.
On dog dreams. In early summer, the apple tree in my backyard dropped small apples every day. I used a small rake like a lacrosse stick to toss them into the woods. My golden would chase them, and, when they landed under a shrub, she’d stick her head into it, and her tail would circle wildly in excitement. That was the only time her tail would do that. When her tail circled while she slept, I knew she was chasing apples in her sleep.
Shouldn’t Rover be running in his sleep? Our family had a pug who leg-twitched and cried in his sleep, making us think he was having nightmares about being chased.

My golden’s mom could hold 3 tennis balls in her mouth. Molly was a runt, and 1 was fine for her.

With talent like that, Rover should go to Tokyo(Olympics) this summer. I would be just fine with him representing the USA.

Wish my dreams were that pleasant sometimes! But since a week ago, they’re a lot more peaceful!
