There’s a dog in my neighborhood who splashes into every puddle, just like a kid.

Used to dogsit a well trained boxer, he would automatically sit at heel when out on a walk and we would stop. It rains alot in Oregon so on one of our walks we came to a stop and he sat…..on my foot! Did the same thing everytime and it took me around the 3rd time to realize he didn’t want to set his nuggets on the cold wet ground. True story.

Rugby dives into water and rolls around on deer poop, but nooooo to a little rain or snow. Confused and humored owner. Ha!

We would sometimes wipe the dog’s feet off when it came back in. This was mainly to keep it from tracking stuff (water, dirt, …) into the house and onto the carpet or furniture.

Somewhere in the evolution of canine relationship with humans, dogs have perfected that ‘innocent of all charges’ look

OH yes, we have a Mr. Precious Paws. It would be funny watching him trying to avoid the wet grass (even DEW, for heaven’s sake!) if it didn’t mean multiple outs until he was satisfied it was dry enough. Snow’s OK. Good thing!

my big-boy typically didn’t mind getting wet. In the summer time my dogs played together in the rain and had a blast.
