So many times as a kid did my Bassett Hound and I spends hours just quietly watching out the window. Once in awhile looking @ each other then back to the squirrels and birds. Kinda like, hey did you see what that stupid squirrel did. Ha! Dogs are wonderful!
When I babysit, the highchair faces my backyard in front of large windows. I hide the remotes and insist the TV is broken, that it doesn’t work in the daytime. I sit where we can both see outside and each other. We watch trees, geese, ducks, wild turkeys and squirrels. We also read books and play with toys and my dog.
When I graduated I lived with my grandmother for awhile. She was retired and I worked in the bakery third shift making donuts and bread all night. I would get home to have “breakfast” just as she was waking up to have her morning coffee. We sat at the table and looked out the window together. It was a sweet time and I look back with fondness on it. I’m not a sit in one place kind of guy. I have to have a project going. But I learned the fine art of looking out the window and I feel I am better for it.

There isn’t a channel of all dog food commercials.

One time when I woke up in the middle of the night, I saw my cats looking out the back window at the neighborhood cats using our catnip bush.

Rover wants to watch real life! (And catch them, too, lol). I love the way he sits in front of the TV with his paws out. So cute!

I think there are a few YouTube channels devoted to this. These guys will have to wait 25 years or so.
