That Scottie dog reminds me of two of my favourite cartoon dogs. They are both called Jock and one is in the comic strip Fred Basset and the other is in the movie Lady and the Tramp.
The first time I told my friends that “Scotty” could be short for “Scottish Terrier,” they imagined Captain Kirk getting beamed up by the wrong entity.
