If I remember correctly, Lassie was a he, acting as a she. Probably a decade before Mrs. Doubtfire. I guess Some Like It Hot.

Timmy should really be more cautious.

I laughed so hard this morning! Especially the last frame. And I’m sure Lassie’s trainer made a good living. Lassie still has a special place in my heart ;)

    If only Lassie would’ve purchased a Walkie-Talkie for Timmy…

Rin Tin Tin never had that problem, he saved his money and retired to Palm Springs where he had a 6000 square foot dog house and an orchard of fire hydrants to choose from.

Lassie never really cared about Timmy. Keeping that stupid kid alive just meant more lucrative film contracts.

That breed of collie doesn’t seem to be as popular anymore. They are beautiful dogs.

Lassie’s first TV owner was Jeff Miller played by Tommy Rettig, who was in several notable movies including The River of No Return with Clark Gable and Marilyn Monroe, Cobweb and Panic in the Streets with Richard Widmark, and a lead in The 5000 Fingers of Dr. T along with a long resume of TV series. He was 9 years older than I am and I had a HUGE 6-year-old’s crush on him. And he never fell into any stupid well.

I think Timmy should be on that leash.
