You’re not allowed in the cockpit anymore

I remember when I flew with my folks as a kid to Florida (from JFK) being led into the cockpit so I could see all the instruments, etc. Even got to meet the pilots. A very impressive experience for a little kid. Sadly, 9/11 and secure cockpit doors put a stop to that. “Security” has ruined many childhood experiences nowadays, like riding in a switch engine while the crew was moving freight cars. Today, you can’t get very close to freight yards anymore. Sad.

The junior pilot wings are worth the price of admission!

Red, your curiosity and different interests is fantastic. Your attitude will always increase your altitude!

I wasn’t aware of the junior pilot wings before. Now am, thanks to Red and Rover, lol!

Oh come on Red, you dad is an aerospace engineer, surely he can get you a set of Jr. Astronaut wings instead. I still have a pair I got when I was a kid.

Delta Airlines used to do that for kids. Do they still ??

But just think Red ….. if you flew, poor Rover would miss you and you him ….. now would that be worth a junior pilot wings ……… I think not ……. :)

Nowadays, if they hand out anything, it’s probably Mochis.
