Red and Rover by Brian Basset for March 22, 2024

Every now and then a comic strip will borrow characters from others. Like once Blondie had several characters from different strips in her restaurant. It’s fun to try to identify them all, sometimes they’re from comics I don’t read.

Today’s Peanuts classic does indeed have Snoopy with Sally.

Snoopy has sometimes appeared in other strips including Red and Rover. One of my favourite examples of Snoopy in another strip was one where Garfield was looking in a mirror in a Monday strip and seeing a reflection of Snoopy. He thought, “I hate Mondays!”

That Snoopy gets around!

Since this strip is based in the past, perhaps this is where Snoopy leaves to go visit Lila.

Aww… Rover is a Snoopy fan.

I just love that sweet little dog.

Rover is worried and being protective about Snoopy getting lost among all those Peanut characters (which I also love by the way).

Almost like a top athlete leaving a team for a better offer

It’s alright Rover ….. He just went for a short flight, looking for the round headed kid …… he’ll be right back …. ;)

“Savage Chickens” here on GoComics has Snoopy in a group of puppies, today.

When I was little and grown-ups would read me some of the comics, I could never understand why the one with the baby and the sunbeam didn’t appear every day.

Snoopy should visit Louie on Overboard. I’d love to see that.

Rover is Snoopy’s biggest fan. Not counting that Great Dane in Anaheim.

Snoopy took the merchandising spinoff route instead. :)
