Red and Rover by Brian Basset for October 11, 2024

There was a similar strip to this one in which Red told the school nurse, “This IS an emergency. I need to speak to my dog!” A reader commented, “What Red does need is some human friends.” This is a rerun from 2021 as all this week’s strips have been. Throughout this year, we have seen a friendship developing between Red and a girl called Ruby.

Will this be a common occurence since schools are now banning cell phones in class??

I’m impressed that Red uses a creative way to reach out to Rover. I use to use a one ring collect call to let my mom know to pick me up @ the hockey rink. Ha

I enjoy revisiting these older strips. I discovered R&R in the newspaper in Florida several years ago, so when we moved north I was happy find the them online, which enabled me to go all the way back to the beginning of their friendship. Now I never miss a day in their wonderful life together.
