Unfortunately Rover can’t have any (hot chocolate that is). Though back in the 1960s-1970s dogs got a lot of “treats” and leftovers they would not be fed these days. As late as the 1990s our English Springer Spaniel got a liking to taking a few licks of Pepsi (just a few licks of course). We had no idea caffeine was bad for dogs, but we did not give him more than a very small amount since we did not want him getting a “sugar high”. He lived to 13 fortunately, and was a mostly healthy dog.

Before too long, it’ll be eggnog weather. “HIC!!”

Every day is also perfect cheeseburger and milky bone weather, guys!

Apple cider with whipped cream?

I didn’t know whipped cream could be used on food too?

I’m allergic to apples. The very smell of them makes me nauseous.

I agree with Red. However, I wouldn’t put whipped cream in my apple cider.

Wouldn’t whipped cream turn nasty in cider?

I love visits to Apple Hill- visiting the apple orchards and checking out all the apple varieties and buying fresh, hot apple cider doughnuts. Yum!

Unfortunately down here in the Arizona desert there is no apple tree where “you should not sit under with anyone else but your sweetheart while you are away” (not the exact words, but does anyone remember that song from the Andrew’s Sisters and Glen Miller: “Don’t you sit under the apple tree [with anybody else but me])”. Was a favorite during World War II when many young men went into the military and also quite a few young women joined the WAGGS and WAVES and were away from home as well.

Apple cider weather and hot chocolate weather – just like there’s sweater weather and jacket weather.

Your right …….. Red ….. ALWAYS time for whip cream …… that reminds me to add it to my grocery list …. :)

We got pup cups for the pups this morning at our local Timmy’s. I got a hot chocolate and the Mrs some sort of mocha cappuccino thingy.
