winter haikus in the empty space immortal beneath the soot parking lot snow pile jello from a mold wet sand from an upturned pail laughable hat hair man: (muffled scream) agh! if i hear that phrase "mass of arctic air" once more i think i will scream kid #1: whine whine whine whine whine adults are like, so wimpy kid #2: snow days suit me fine.
October 4, 2013; Regina SK. Our city’s snow pile from last winter’s street cleaning has not yet melted. It is covered in gravel, dirt and weeds. The last snow was dumped there in early April.
