El Brendel was the star of “Just Imagine”, Hollywood’s first major science-fiction musical. Also Hollywood’s last major science-fiction film of any kind for over 20 years. It’s available on YouTube. Watch it, and see how many props, sets, and scenes were edited into “Flash Gordon”.
