Richard's Poor Almanac by Richard Thompson for June 04, 2021
Transcript:
Beethovenmania to mark Beethoven's Birthday, December 16th or 17th, 1770 by Richard Thompson In his spare time he collected snow globes & suffered chronic bowel distress. About twice a day he'd lose a pencil in his hair. Gott in Himmel! This isn't funny anymore! He called his sweetie immortal beloved she called him Mr. Piltdown. He often had to work two jobs. Wide Load His later work shows a pronounced blues influence. I'm ugly as a mud fence, and dapper than a post, some people have a bad hair day - Well, I've had more than most. Got picked up as a vagrant by the Polizei, the ladies all avoid me I do not wonder why. Got that tortured genius blues! (Rollover Chuck Berry) The tortured genius blues (I'm a visionary!) The lowdown, no good tortured geeneeyus blues!

I don’t know how I’ve missed this one before. I guess I was looking for the pencil in my hair.
