iN high school the sousaphone players were all kids with braces. Except Any Otterly. She payed tuba in orchestra and played it very well. I played tenor sax when marching and bassoon, and later contrabassoon in orchestra.

I played the viola. My mom’s name was Viola. They cancelled the orchestra program at the end of 8th grade. My mom died 2 weeks after I finished 8th grade. Life is full of weird coincidences.
