richard's poor almanac by richard thompson pandas are boring (song) pandas are boring, all they ever do is couple unsuccessfully and digest their bamboo. pandas are cloying tedious and blah, two-tone fuzzy cuddly cures for in-som-ni-a. pandas are tiersome. and they're not real bears. they're practically marsupials if anybody cares. ten million dollars is sure a lot of bread, why not spend it prudently buy elephants instead.

My teddy bear as a child was a panda. His name was “Panda Bear.” I’ve never been great at coming up with good names…

I do agree that pandas are over-rated. But they’re so darn cute!
Elephants probably would be a better investment. They’re smarter, longer lived, and can be relatively friendly….

Ten million panda rent and China took them back. Probably because the live longer than most China products last.
