The 135 mile Badwater Ultramarathon starts in Death Valley, Calif., USA, and ends halfway up Mt. Whitney, crossing several mountain ranges, with ascents and descents totaling more than 9000 feet of altitude change! During a solar total eclipse- the moon's shadow races across the ground that thousands of miles per hour, with most eclipses lasting only a few minutes.
