Pope Urban VIII- who oversaw Galileo Galilei's trial for hearsay, had originally been a friend and supporter of the accused astronomer! The Marbled Lungfish- Protoperus Aethiopicus, has a DNA genome 133 billion letters long- 44 times larger than a human's! Jupiter is orbited by 63 known moons!

If there is a correlation between DNA length and intelligence, we shouldn’t be surprised when aliens land on Earth and seek out the head marbled lungfish to make contact with. “Take us to your Leader!”

Galileo brought most of his troubles on himself by insulting and provoking not only the Pope but many others as well. He wasn’t anything like the innocent victim most people think he was.

@Gweedo Murray,I’ll bet the Marbled Lungfish doesn’t take it for ‘granite’, either

The Marbled Lungfish is way ahead of us humans. He has known even the unknown moons of Jupiter for many moons!

It can be dangerous to be RIGHT ahead of your time. Galileo and Copernicus were lucky. Giordano Bruno got burned at the stake for expressing similar ideas a century earlier.

It’s a known fact that Galileo stole the idea of the telescope from the Danes or from the Netherlands. They used it for navigation.

Actually, to be accepted with new ideas, you just have to demonstrate that your new theory can make them money! No one really believed in microbes causing illness (evil spirts did that) until it was proven to the French winemakers that certain microbes made good wine, some did not. Making money won them over.
