Deja view! The Parthenon building in Nashville Tenn., USA, is a full-size exact replica of the ancient Greek structure in Athens, Greece, complete with sculptures directly cast from the originals! The New York Yacht Club held the America's Cup sailing trophy and hosted the contest for 126 years until they were beaten in 1983 by the Royal Perth Yacht Club! Andrew Hedgeman ran the equivalent of two marathons a day to make the 1367 mile (2200 km) journey from the north end to the south end of New Zealand in only 28 days!

The Parthenon building in Nashville was also used as the setting for the climactic final scene in Robert Altman’s 1975 film “Nashville.”

The one in Nashville even has a 41ft tall statue of Athena… Very cool.. :)
