Sometimes what they learn from the earth’s core is ‘no great shakes’!

Didn’t we learn about detecting the Earth’s core by studying seismic waves in 4th grade?

How in the world did those sharks turn up in a fish market? I won’t mind digging into the Earth’s core to find agates and geodes. I can make sculptures out of my husband’s snuff cans. Wonder what I should make?

Gold does not form on Earth. All gold deposits are the result of meteorite collisions, the gold veins the result of seismic activity that causes it to melt together. So while it is abundant due to billions of years of being collected on earth ( or 6000 years, depending on what you want to believe) it is unlikely to have much accumulation at the core.
