Sold! In 1920, Boston Red Sox baseball team owner Harry Frazee sold George Herman Babe Ruth to the New York Yankees for $125,000 and a $300,000 loan, which he used to help finance theater productions! Cuban artist Yoan Capote creates massive murals with fishhooks! Cheers! During the later years of the Dutch War of Independence (1568-1648) taxes on beer were the Dutch Republic's largest source of income!

I’ve yet to have a Dutch beer that didn’t taste the way a skunk smells.

Something about Yoan Capote’s works that . . . I just can’t let go. I’m stuck on it; maybe even hooked on it. Was he just baiting me?

@algurka,You fell for it ‘hook, line, and sinker’!Get ‘reel’! You should get the ‘rod’ (40 lashes with a wet noodle) for those puns! Were you ‘fishing’ for compliments? :o)

Babe Ruth: Yep, one of the lousiest deals of all time. All of Frazee’s theater productions failed, and it resulted in the Curse of the Bambino for eighty years. Good job, Harry!

Selling “The Babe” was not a bright idea. Fish hooks? Beer is a big money maker.

I assume he took the fish off them first?
