How exactly do you verify such a ridiculous claim about eating rocks and pebbles?

It also raises the question why? For what reason would anyone want to nibble on rocks and pebbles. She supposed to be some sort of bird?

Sometimes iron deficiency will bring on a condition known as pica. Humans and animals crave, ice, dirt, and even stones or rocks. Lady should have her blood checked.
