The info about Nora Sly is slightly off. Newspaper do/did report " her face was copied for a CHURCH GARGOYLE." But that is inacurate. The sculpture is properly calles a Grotesque. A Gargoyle has " a spout designed to convey water from a roof and away from the side of a building thereby preventing rainwater from running down masonry walls and eroding the mortar between." Ms. Sly sculpture does not show having such a spout.
