Ripley's Believe It or Not! Tigers use their ultra-sensitive whiskers to detect whether or not their prey still has a pulse! Chip Away! The town of Beaver, Oklahoma, has hosted the world cow chip throwing championships since 1970! In June 2013, a swan was arrested by police in Vijayawada, India, for pecking at passerby.

Okay… the swan is reminding me of the locust on trial on behalf of its entire swarm a few “Ripley’s” strips ago. We humans will do anything to deal with animals breaking human laws.

The only thing I DON’T believe in today’s strip is that there’s a town named Beaver. If there is, they probably use cow chips for a lot of other things: home plate, frisbees, flagstones, shingles, etc.

There is an OBGYN in California named Bonnie Beaver. My wife went to her once when she was pregnant. Believe it or not!

They probably don’t have much else to do in Beaver (Ok panhandle).

Nice to know the tiger makes sure the prey is dead before eating.
