Now that’s a swell pizza! (If you cannot name your pig Napoleon in France, can you name any other domesticated animal such there?)

English speakers, (especially Americans) get European history filtered through Britain. The British characterize Napoleon as being a malevolent person and brutal dictator. It comes as a surprise to most Americans that many Europeans consider Napoleon a wise and great leader. What the Brits got their knickers in a bunch about, was that Napoleon’s French Empire was beginning to encroach on the Brit’s own empire. So he had to go. The legal system in some countries is still based on the Napoleonic Law Code. Such as France, Mexico, and Louisiana (US state).

As the description on the right says, Believe it or not shows us the incredible and the unusual. (Emphasis mine). I don’t know about where you live, but here, somebody with horns implanted in their head is unusual, so it’s fine with me if it shows up in the comic!

The reason for the law is that it is an insult to the pig.

Well, not exactly Old Texan. The Germans, Russians, Spanish and Belgians had no love at for Napoleon. He invaded their countries mostly under pretext. France and perhaps Italy were the only countries that had a great love for Napoleon.

The province of Quebec has the Napoleonic code. It also has the second largest French speaking city in the world.
