Ker plunk! Every year, 125,000 golf balls are hit into the water on the infamous 17th hole of the Stadium Course at Sawgrass, Ponte Verda Beach, Florida. Croatia's Froggyland Museum is filled with over 500 taxidermy anthropomorphically dressed and posed frogs! In 1911, Vincenzo Peruggia simply walked into the Louvre Museum and walked out with the Mona Lisa.

But for sure Vincenzo was handcuffed, jailed, and had the “Mona Lisa” returned. What a cat burglar he was a little over a century ago.

I didn’t know that Madame Toadsauds had a museum in Croatia.

Who counts the golf balls?

Secondhand golf balls are big business. Most water hazards are designed with concrete ditches so the balls roll to a central collecting point. They are then collected at night by a scuba diver or a vacuum/dredge.

flyintheweb about 8 years ago
That’s about 350 balls a day… what, a ball every 2 minutes? Too many.
