Horseflies – don’t see them as often now that there are fewer horses in our area. Kids used to jam a chicken feather up the tail of one and turn it loose – couldn’t fly straight any more! And I saw kids pulling the head loose, throw it into the air and it would fly until it hit something! (Back before we had TV in our area for entertainment!)
