not sure I’d want to eat a fish (with chips, as sushi or however prepared) which has eaten a snake

That must be an expensive salad if they have to grow a tree for every serving.

And “Seuss” was only his middle name. His full name was Theodor Seuss Geisel (last name rhymes with “Diesel”.

I thought the “traditional” bird for Christmas dinners in England was goose, not turkey

My one aunt ate a chicken breast and a baked potato every day for years. Physically she was healthy, but she did end up in a home for elders with mental issues. Just saying.

The Ripley’s TV show once featured a guy who actually celebrated Christmas every day. He would have mincemeat pies every day, the turkey dinner every day, left his Christmas tree up all year round, and would give himself a present every day. I would get soooooo incredibly sick of the same thing for dinner every day. Except for maybe my mom’s homemade pirohy that we have every Christmas Eve. But then who knows? After having that every day for too long, I might even get sick of that.

Ted was an editorial cartoonist before he got into children’s books. Very virulent anti-Nazi in the early 30’s. Great stuff.
