More than 50 times a day, six days a week? Much more than that, if you recall that, filming at normal speed, a movie camera takes 24 pictures a second. Fifty frames would take just a bit over two seconds. Even if they were shooting in Super-8 (18 fps), fifty frames would take just under three seconds.

I don’t follow ANYone on Twitter, but that’s quite an accomplishment, Carter.

Carter may have 3.65 million retweets, but Shirley has a drink named after her.

I naively grew up thinking Coney Island was named after City of New York hence CONeY. Imagine my surprise.

I recognized the picture of Dr. Couney (and Beth Allen, the baby) from a news story earlier this year. Lucille Horn was one of the babies, and died this year at the age of 96.

Hospitals had not yet accepted using incubators for premature babies, so Dr. Couney put them in sideshows so they could be funded.

Don’t forget, Shirley was also the Ambassador to the U. N. for a time.

Shirley was a great little money maker. She literally saved the studio. Too bad the studio did not know how to handle her growing up. I saw her last week in “Since You Went Away” and did not recognize her. She really grew in those years. She lost it for me when she supported Ni*on during Watergate. She became a real fascist in her later years.

And what was he retreated for? A year’s supply of Wendy’s nuggets. People weren’t very entertained; they just felt like helping him out.
