On the coincident birthdays. The given odds mean that there are approximately 58,000 examples of this in the world today. Not common on a global scale, but not unbelievable, ya know.

With the robotic Rubik’s Cube solving, the engineers must’ve blinked and missed it or something.

The parrot fish’s pharyangeal teeth grind the chunks of food bitten off with their beaklike primary teeth. Some species bite off hard bits of coral which are crushed before swallowing. The organic parts are digested and the rest is excreted as sand. Some individuals produce over 200 pounds of sand a year, over the ages enoughto form islands. That immaculate white sand on the Carribean beaches? Yep.

The parrot fish – not to be confused with the Hawaiian reef trigger fish, or humuhumunukunukuapua’a, which happens to be their State Fish.

“Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear three generations. Happy birthday to you,” is what they’ll probably sing.

If you’re into 3d printing, Thingiverse has a design for a Rubik’s Cube solving robot, though not as fast as the one above.

And here’s a video of the robot solving the cube. Amazing.

I’m shocked that a Rubik’s cube could be physically manipulated that fast.

A robot solving a Rubic’s Cube isn’t that incredible. I watched as one man solved three Cubes blindfolded in approximately 5 minutes, the third with only one hand.

Does the 0.637 seconds include scanning time?

It isn’t nearly as fast as Sub 1 Reloaded, but Tilted Twister Rubik’s Cube solving bot was build from a single Lego Mindstorms set.

No one seems to notice that 0.637 “seconds” is incorrect. 0.637 is LESS than a Second. And Yes I find it hard to believe too.

Many species of fish have another set of teeth in their throats. They are known as “pharyngeal teeth.” It’s not unusual in the fish world.

Not quite right. The odds that a given baby share a birthday with her mother and maternal grandmother is about 1 in 130,000. Same for paternal grandmother. So as stated, the odds are about 1 in 65000.

Even a parrot fish is sadly outmatch by The Alien.
