I think there’s a thing similar to the Kentucky/Tennessee boarder thing with Minnesota and Canadian province Ontario. Not to mention Washington (where I’m from) and other Canadian province British Columbia. (How did Mr. Crowe even get permission to obtain the cremated persons’ ashes from their loved ones?)

All along the Mississippi River the river has changed course and has attached areas that used to be in one state to another. A good example is Carter Lake, Iowa. It used to be in Iowa, now it is deeply embedded inside Omaha, Nebraska.

Looks like the Chinese have come up with an interesting variation on the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile!

West of New Orleans the west bank of the Mississippi is south of the east bank.

Carter Lake, Iowa, is west of the Mississippi River, and surrounded by Nebraska.

The first capital of Illinois is now in Missouri. Check a map of Kentucky/Tennessee and near the Mississippi is Reelfoot Lake, which once was part of the river before the great earthquake. I’ve heard that the westernmost land in Illinois is an island near Meyer, Ill which formed after a steamboat sank and silting took over. (Corrections welcomed)
