As someone with Danish ancestry, VIkings’ helmets also weren’t ornated with horns either. As for Bishop’s talent, I don’t believe it. Besides himself, who else can count that many claps and that bit of time?
Not all SCANDINAVIANS were raiders. “Viking” is just their word for those who went out raiding and pillaging. So all Vikings were warriors, but not all Scandinavians were Vikings.
“Viking” is a verb. Not only that, but in most Norse villages, the women held the power. They were left at home to care for and defend the village when the men went out on their raiding/trading trips, so most of the women were also pretty fierce warriors as well, if need be…
My father’s family were dairy farmers in south central Norway – had settled there late 18th/early 19th century, according to the family Bible, which had recorded my grandfather’s birth, marriage, and departure for America. When I visited them in ‘75, no one was willing, or able to talk about where they might have been before then … but Dad was an adventurous sort. He took the train from LA to Detroit, in November ’39, picked up a new Chrysler he had bought, which he then drove to NY to see the ’39 World’s Fair, and then drove all the way back to LA, picking up Hwy 66 in Chicago, and following it to Santa Monica. As far as I know, no raids took place at any point.

I suspect Eli Bishop has too much time on his hands. (Could not resist.)
