How does a wasp even get into a fig in the first place?

Last weekend, but don’t recall if it was Friday, Saturday, or Sunday… the New York Times had a fascinating history of the Haunted Mansion attractions. It mentioned that one of the most disliked tasks for the housekeeping staff was sweeping up and trashing of those ashes. So the fantasy of becoming one of the inhabitants of the haunted place… actually ends at the garbage dump.

Just had to “google” the fig/wasp thing. Wow the youtube video was so informative. They say you learn something new each day.

Honey isn’t vegetarian too. And neither is milk.

Wasps up.

Now you know why I chose Oreos over Fig Newtons.

Disney cast members have a code for when such things happen. They call for a HEPA cleanup, meaning they need a vacuum with a HEPA filter.

Don’t Haunted House visitors realize it has a cleaning crew? What do they think will happen to cremains scattered there?

A couple of years ago, I heard some families scattered cremains in places where, when they are noticed, are collected by a hazardous waste crew. They are, after all, human remains.

Wasps are ok on vegetarian cheat day.

Another reason not to visit Disney theme parks. Who wants to breath someone else’s ashes. EWWWW! But then, I guess spreading the ashes there is less morbid than keeping them on your mantel.

If Jerry West tried, at his peak, to compete with today’s NBA players I think he’d be not even hired.

And I would guess that ashes are swept up and thrown in the trash when the cleaning crew comes through.

OMG, for real? I was recently thinking about how I used to love Fig Newtons but have never tried an actual fig and how I might like to try one sometime. Never gonna happen now. And I’ll never eat another Fig Newton as long as I live. I like the apple Newtons better anyway.
