can rattlers even be found in th’Atlantic Northeast? (also, when Cash enlisted, the USAF wouldn’t accept J.R. as is official given name which he later made into John)

Johnny Cash did not need his pay checks to buy a guitar that only cost five dollars. Also the military payed by cash in those days.

Johnny Cash was a Morse Code Interceptor not a Code Breaker. He was able to understand the Morse Code and Type those characters into Russian plain text or Coded text. That Text was given to linguist and or code breakers who turned it into readable English text. Cash rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant which indicates he was very good at his job.

Johnny Cash’s attested code expertise was in Morse code. He was stationed in West Germany and his job was to intercept and report Soviet transmissions in Morse. Some do take it that this means he was as fluent in Russian (and Soviet cryptography) as in Morse, but others (I think more probably) take it that he just transcribed the dots and dashes for experts who were fluent in Russian and Soviet cryptography.

I want to be so rich that I can hire Michelangelo to build me a snowman. I’d even throw in a few extra bucks if he’d sing the songs from “Frozen” while he did it.

I’d throw a snowball right at Mikey’s face if he didn’t meet my snowman requirements!

Back then $5.00 was probably more like $50.00 to $100.00 these days.

Also, when Johnny Cash made it big in country music. He gave the Statler Brothers their start. They opened for him and later sang a song called We Got Paid by CASH.

I wonder if the Double Dave snake ate pizza? There’s a pizza chain here called DoubleDave’s Pizzaworks.
