Sounds like Sakamoto-san probably made fashionable rain slickers.
Yikes! Have you ever tried getting a rubber band out of your hair? Do you want that on your whole body??
“Erasable You” will now be played by Art Gum and his Rubber Band.
Of course Poe’s “Raven” could also just as easily have been inspired by the DTs from one of his infamous bouts of excessive drinking
Wearing a Sakamoto dress will put some “snap” into your life…
At least the dress is water proof.
It’s hard to believe she found rubber bands strong enough to make clothes! I can certainly see people buying some of those clothes!
As if Japanese culture needed to be MORE insular.
I wouldn’t doubt it.

One of my dream jobs (I have several) would be an archaeologist to dig up and explore middens in and around Williamsburg, Virginia. I understand the wells were a common place for people to dump their garbage.
Rie’s clothing line wasn’t too successful, but she’ll bounce back.

I think it was inspired by the raven in GOODY TWO SHOES
See Sheldon for today.
I wonder if all if Rie’s clothing is One Size Fits All???
“It was the best of times. It was the worst of times.”
“Nevermore!”
Rie could battle lighting based super heroes and villains!
Those clothes have got to be uncomfortable as all get out.
i’m curious why its ‘the’ tama art university…
it’s not as though there are several universities of that name…
The poem just wouldn’t have worked as well with the raven saying, “Get a grip, get a grip”…
Does Rie realize that if that girl snags her dress on something she could get snapped to death…
My dad collected rubber bands when he was a kid. Then he discovered that rubber bands disintegrate over time.
Rubber bands eventually get dry rot…OOPS!
