I publish some horror haiku every Spring. It’s usually for Demented Mother’s Day, but this year, it will be for Fiendish Father’s Day!

Little Shih-tzu doggies used to guard Buddhist temples in the Far East, yapping to warn of intruders. I’ll take a cute doggie over a squeaky floor.

I remember when “Grandparents Day” was invented, by the greeting card industrial complex, I assume. I’m surprised they haven’t come up with “Uncles Day”, “Aunts Day”, “First Cousins Day”, “Second Cousin Thrice Removed Day”.

Well we did want to branch off into burglary during our Japanese tour, but not all of our members got the hang of floating over those noisy floors. ~ Gram Parsons

Take care, may Russian speed typist Miroslava “Good Russian Woman Ignore Blister And Bleeding For State Plus Not Have Accidental Fall Out High Up Window” Krushchovorda be with you, and gesundheit.

Alcoons just had a joke here, funny and not sexual. That’s gone! Now maybe he’s ridden off into the sunset like the others. Hi-yo Silver!

I know a good many of my second cousins and at least several second cousins once removed. Had a family reunion where I had a big tree posted on the wall once, and one fellow learned from that that he is related to his mother-in-law; yep you can even run into long lost fourth cousins!

Odd thing about the typewriters, Russia has gone “low tech” before too.

In heyday of the “Space Race” US astronauts had problems with pens cloging because a standard ballpoint pen requires gravity for the ink to flow, so NASA spent millions to solve the issue by developing a pressurized ink cartridge pen that could write at any angle and on any surface (anyone remember the Fischer “space pen”?)

The Russian cosmonauts were faced with same problem, and simply switched to mechanical grease-lead pencils

From listening devices installed by the CIA in Russian government offices and military installations, the NSA is able to transcribe the recordings of keystroke clicks on secret typewritten documents.

Just last week they discovered that Putin wears skirts below the table during teleconferences…. awaiting further intelligence on the fashion label.
