I had to look it up. The most recent crime was someone stealing 2000 pounds from a hotel. The previous crime was someone stealing a bicycle. Maybe it’s a serial thief who only steals once every 20 years.

So, does that mean Pocahontas had 11 other great grandsons before Ed, or that Ed is her great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandson? (How many of you counted my “greats”?) ;-D

Is Norton a member of the First Families of Virginia? Many of their members can trace their ancestry to Pocahontas.

I remember seeing the episode of “Finding Your Roots” on PBS when Norton was told of his connection to Pocahontas. A good show I never try to miss and makes me envious of the deep research ability of the staff that makes these discoveries.

For this to be true, Pocahontas would have had to have had children. And she died young during an epidemic.

She ditched John Smith to marry another white settler,John Rolfe—-but children??

DNA tests will show your general heritage, but nothing so specific as tracing you to one individual

Don’t pay your hotel bill, your horse is sold to pay for it. Hmmm. In the USA, in some places, if you owe parking tickets, the city can tow your car, sell it for scrap if you don’t pay up, and settle things that way.

I once heard that around 5% of Americans can trace their ancestry all the way back to Pocahontas (although I’m not sure as to how true that is).
