Never thought there’d be another version of the true story that inspired the movie Terminal. That one was about a man who was unable to get on a flight at DeGaulle Airport in Paris, so he spent a lot of time there.
This comic, and its comments section, is beginning to look like one of those dilapidated wooden buildings with roof collapsed and gray patina on the wood one might come upon in the desert! Shame.
The Chinese man has lived in an airport for 14 YEARS so he can get away from his family plus smoke and drink as much as he wants. Wei Jianguo, a man in his 60s, has been living at a Beijing airport for 14 years. He said he left home because his family told him to quit drinking and smoking. Mr Wei has a set up of his food, belongings, and sleeping bag in a waiting area.
People have the right to eat peanuts as much as Leah Williams has the right to NOT eat them. That being said, airlines are no longer a safe place to offer them to passengers. Peanut allergies are a relatively new affliction. Never heard of til the 1970s.
The India airport using solar panels is a great idea. Many airports have large grassy areas that could be covered with solar panels. Then they’d be able to save on electric power and cut down on yard maintenance since shaded grass doesn’t grow very much.
46,000 panels that will eventually meet a storm and they will be destroyed. In Scotts Bluff, Nebraska a multimillion-dollar solar farm consisted of over 14,000 solar panels that had been put into operation in 2019. The system’s 25-year expected lifetime was cut to less than 4 years, leaving a toxic mess to clean up. It begs the questions of whether it makes sense to depend on such weather-vulnerable power plants and how long will it take to clean up the toxic mess left behind.
14,000 at over $1 million in damage. Imagine what 46,000 will cost to replace. But no worries that only means your tickets go up!
If I were a pilot, I wouldn’t want to fly in to Cochin Airport unless I was on a photon. Doesn’t look like there’s a clear place to land with all those solar panels about. ;-p
If people have peanut allergies then I’m sorry but that is their problem and I and the vast majority of us who don’t shouldn’t have to suffer for their malady.
But republicans say solar will never supply our energy needs despite the fact that their ability to see the future is terrible and never right. But republicans keep predicting and continue to be wrong.

$3.85 for one of those tiny 6-nut airline peanut packs and they’re STILL losing money!

If it takes 46,000 solar panels to power Cochin International airport, how many would it take to power New York City?

I have to admit – I feel sorry for anyone who has a serious, legitimate peanut allergy. It must be difficult to avoid nuts all the time.

If Leah Williams is that sensitive she shouldn’t fly.

Yes, I think peanuts are legumes. It is interesting to watch the harvesting of them. Dirty job.

That comes out to $3.85 per packet of nuts.
If those were the standard airline peanut packets, Leah Williams could have saved her money, since those blasted things are impossible to open anyway.
